I am awakening
Learning
Unfurling
Uncurling
No more stasis
No more numbness
No more silencing
Blocking
Ignoring
I am listening
Feeling
Seeing
Witnessing
The light was always poring in
Now I am aware of it
Now I am aware of me
Aware of those inside
Seeing them
Feeling their pain
Their tears wet on my face
Witnessing their bravery
Courage
Determination
Celebrating the survival of them
Of me
It is hard
It is painful
It is beautiful
It is worth the journey
Uncurling
Unfurling
Learning
I am awakening.
