It’s a new moon tonight. It’s been a reflective day. I feel I am making real progress with my music learning. I have two songs almost fully written, now I need to compose the music for them. That’s the intention I am setting tonight.
It would be quiet but fireworks season is upon us. No cat cuddles for me this evening as she’s hiding in the wardrobe from the loud bangs. On Friday afternoon twenty minutes after workmen left my evicted neighbours flat the smoke detector started its low battery beep. Well I assume that’s what it is. Every 30 seconds it gives a high pitched squeak! I can hear it even in my bedroom at the other side of the flat. I just hope the workmen return on Monday!
I had a long soak in the bath this afternoon. I’m still on waiting on the steroid ointment making a difference. But a bath is soothing. I keep running through different chords and arpeggios in my head, trying to fit music to the verses I have written. I feel like it’s going to be a slow process but I’m enjoying the journey.
There’s lots of ideas in my head for both my writing journey and my music and also a few artistic ideas that I’m hoping to bring to life.
I’m glad it’s Sunday tomorrow and I have no commitments. Another day of rest and musical exploration.
