Despite the fatigue and the revolving symptoms I managed to make it to choir tonight.
I said I don’t like change! We had an email 48 hours ago to say that there was a venue change for choir tonight. A building I have never been in before. When we arrived the room we’d been told that was booked for us was occupied. Thankfully the choir leader turned up early and things got a bit tense as he had to go and get the building schedule to show that we were booked for the room. This made us late for setting up our space.
The acoustics were much different from our usual venue. This meant we had to be mindful of this as we rehearsed. Everyone was eager to run through the songs we will be performing on Thursday at the fireworks display. All in all despite the change the session went well.
I think tomorrow will be a complete days of rest. I’m grateful I’m not volunteering on Thursday morning. I feel less guilty about it as when I informed the others that I couldn’t make it, two others said they couldn’t make it either so I suggested we move it to next week when we will all be available.
I’ll be glad to climb into bed in a minute
